September 15, 2008, 1:31 pm Field Hockey Filming Once again, BirdseyeSports will be actively filming girls field hockey games around the country.

We currently have 12 schools who have asked us to film the entire team or simply individual players. Adding your name to the list is quite easy.

We charge $199-$250 to film a field hockey game, and can provide your team with multiple DVD copies to spread the cost out. Also, if you are an individual player and need a video for college recruiting purposes, give us a call or send us an email for a customized package to fit your needs. Simply fill out the Contact Form.
October 24, 2007, 1:51 pm Playoff Run Begins

The 2007 CIAC and Conference Playoffs for field hockey are right around the corner in Connecticut.  Some league tournaments get underway this weekend, while state playoff games begin the first week in November.

In Class L, Greenwich (above) is the top ranked team heading into the playoffs as the Cardinals look to follow up back to back titles.  Greenwich also heads up the FCIAC playoffs which begin this weekend at McMahon on Saturday.  Simsbury and South Windsor are top competitors out of the CCC, as the Bobcats only loss was 1-0 to Simsbury, while the Trojans only loss was to Longmeadow (MA).  Brien McMahon and Stamford should make strong runs in Class L, while Newtown has posted some impressive wins while only falling to Pomperaug.

In Class M, Pomperaug (above) looks to make another deep run, while Hand, the state's top ranked team will look to get back to the finals for another year. Branford of the SCC is always a dangerous team, and the same can be said for Darien.

Class S seems to be the most wide open division.  Granby and Canton are the only other unbeaten teams in Connecticut, while 2006 finalists North Branford and H-K will likely make deep runs.  Avon, Stonington and any one of 4 Berkshire League teams will also look to make it to Wethersfield in November.

September 18, 2007, 4:25 pm College Recruiting Film Camp

Bird's Eye Sports will be running a few camps this fall for high school players looking to play in college.  We will be filming these skills camps so each player will have a proper 5-10 minute video to send off to NCAA coaches for evaluation.

Every college coach wants to see a prospective athlete play, whether in person or on video, so if you are looking to play in college, this may be the perfect event for you to attend. Each players video will be posted online and they will receive DVD copies as well.

August 4, 2007, 10:54 am College Recruiting Videos

If you are a field hockey player who wants to play in college, it is almost guaranteed that the college coach is going to ask to see your video.

Many of you will immediatly think, what video?  Due to obvious numbers of applicants vs. accepted student athletes, the NCAA coach relies on scouting many of the prospective athletes by looking at a video of them.

There are a number of ways to produce a college recruiting video, and Birds Eye Sports has extensive experience in putting together the right video at a fair price so you can be p[roperly evaluated by that NCAA coach.

Learn more by looking at our video samples.
