November 23, 2009, 9:09 am Staples is #1 The Staples-Westport boys soccer team defeated New Milford on Saturday to win the Class LL state title, and will likely be voted the #1 overall team in Connecticut for 2009.

Brookfield might have something to say about that, as the Bobcats finished off an amazing second half, scoring 3 unanswered goals to come back and defeat New Canaan for the Class L title in Waterbury.

Brookfield did defeat Staples 3-1 in a non conference game this season.

November 17, 2008, 5:00 pm State Finals Saturday Birdseye Sports will once again be producing the state finals for CTSN. Follow the action all month long as the Connecticut Sports Network will air the CIAC Championships on tape delay.

November 3, 2008, 9:49 am Championship Run The post-season is here! After a crazy league championship week, the Nutmeg State now enters state championship season as the CIAC tournaments officially are under way.

Birdseye Sports will be there to film all 4 state finals in Boys and Girls Soccer this fall, with each game set to be broadcast on television in early December. Details to follow.

Last week, Birdseye Sports professionally filmed the SCC and SWC Boys finals, as well as the FCIC and SWC Girls Finals. All of those games can be seen in their entirety by clicking the Soccer Page on BirdsEyeTV.
