Staples is #1
The Staples-Westport boys soccer team defeated New Milford on Saturday to win the Class LL state title, and will likely be voted the #1 overall team in Connecticut for 2009.
Brookfield might have something to say about that, as the Bobcats finished off an amazing second half, scoring 3 unanswered goals to come back and defeat New Canaan for the Class L title in Waterbury.
Brookfield did defeat Staples 3-1 in a non conference game this season.
View the game highlights here, and look for the games on CTSN this month. Fans in Fairfield County can purchase a DVD of the game starting next week, by clicking on the store link above.
