Meet The Staff

Ben Talbott - Founder/President

Ben Talbott is the founder and president of Bird's Eye Sports.  He founded the company in 2003 and has been the main catalyst behind the growth and development of the premier amateur sports production company in the U.S.

An NCAA All American in Football at Lehigh University, Ben has helped a number of athletes through the search process for the right college.   He was also selected by the Anaheim Angels in the MLB Amateur Draft in 1997, spending time in their minor league system after a successful 2 sport career at Lehigh. 

Ben lives in Westport, CT with his wife Heather and son Jackson.

Matt Jurmann - Webmaster

Matt is owner and operator of Chromatic Sites, a professional web design and search engine optimization company based near Chicago, Illinois.

He started collaborating with the staff of Birds Eye Sports, specifically Ben Talbott, at the end of 2006. It was a long process but together they have finally launched a more user friendly, aesthetically pleasing website.

Bob Sagendorf - Play by Play

Bob Sagendorf is a lead play by play announcers for BirdsEye TV and has over 25 years experience including stints at CBS, ESPN, and WATR.

Joe Coss - Northern Connecticut Director





Joe Coss has taken over the northern part of Connecticut as a director and producer. Joe is a graduate of Quinnipiac University and is involved as a cameraman, producer, on air commentator, and more.

Joe resides in Thomaston.

Tommy Razor - Basketball Analyst

Tommy "Razor" enters his second season as a lead Basketball Analyst for Birds Eye.  Tommy is a self proclaimed hoops junkie who like many others takes pride in seeking out talent all across the state.

Razor is a leading personality on The Bird's Nest and is constantly writing scouting reports on the top teams and players around Connecticut.

Jeremy Studer - Editor/Cameraman





Jeremy has been a freelance cameraman and editor for Birds Eye Sports since 2005.  He films lacrosse, football, and ice hockey and is available for editing projects all year round.

Damon James - Basketball Adviser

Damon has worked as a basketball consultant and adviser for Birds Eye Sports since 2004.  He is an expert in evaluating talent and has voted in our Top 20 polls since their inception in 2004.

Damon is also a color commentator for BirdsEyeTV.  He lives in Middletown, CT.

Peter Vandall - Cameraman, Editor





Peter begins is third season as a freelance cameraman and editor in lower Fairfield County.  Peter has been involved in filming youth sports in New Canaan and Westport for the past 2 years and will be a busy man this fall.

Peter lives in Norwalk with his wife.

Tom Ciarcia - Cameraman, Editor





Tom begins his third seasons as a cameraman for Birds Eye in the Greater Hartford area.  Tom is an experienced videographer who has shot numerous sports for us including Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Baseball, and Basketball.

Tom will cover the metro Hartford area this fall for new and repeat clients in the central part of the state.

Tom resides in Middletown, CT.

Abby Reid - Intern





Abby begins her third semester as an intern for Birds Eye.  Abby is a senior at Quinnipiac and is a communications major.

Her dutues as intern include: assistant camera at sports games, online game editor, marketing assistant, and many other roles.

Veronica Murphy - Managing Director

Veronica Murphy is a managing director and business consultant to Bird's Eye Sports.  She has worked with the company since its inception, and has provided valuable financial and marketing assistance to the company.

Ms. Murphy is the principal owner of Vision Asset Management, a financial advisory company, and resides in Madison, CT

Mike Talbott - Cameraman

Mike Talbott serves as a cameraman in the northern part of Connecticut.  He films NCCC, CCC, and NWC games.

Mike lives in Hebron with his wife Helene.

Sam and Tyler - Winter Student Interns

Sam Pach and Tyler Wosleger bring the students perspective to winter sports, as these future sports media personalities travel all around the state writing about high school basketball.
